On Monday 27th July, 2015 Mrs June Handley was presented with the ‘Masonic District Service Award’ for services within District 36.
June has been actively involved within the district for over 30 years fund raising for various charities including bush fire appeals, Frank Whiddon Masonic Homes and supplying essential items for the Masonic Hall at Sutherland.
June is still an active member of the Masonic Widows Association and through them have continued to make donations to other deserving charities.
During this time June has supported her husband RW Bro Lance Handley (serving preceptor of 36 District Lodge of Instruction, PDGIW and Past Master of Lodge Gymea) in his masonic career, kept a home and raised three healthy children.
More than twenty masons and their wives attended a small presentation for June to receive this award including five PDGIW’s and the serving DGIW of District 36.
